Lyn  also  illustrated the children's book 'Out of The Apple Orchard' in 2004/2005. The book, written by Yvonne David, received an honourable mention in the Independent Publisher Awards.

These are a mixture of different styles and media including acrylic, pencil, ink, watercolour, oil and etching. The etchings are hard ground and aquatint.

A portrait of Jack Kerouac was acquired for the 'Kerouac Project of Orlando'. The project sponsors a writers-in-residence programme. The painting hangs in the house in Florida that was Jack Kerouac's home when 'On the Road' was published.
